A Night of Gaming for Good, PAX 2022 - Tickets are Live at 3PM PST by Norma Gallien

As you may know, we’ve been negotiating and finalizing some details with the Columbia Tower after being informed that they’ve increased some of their price points. We’re happy to say we’ve reached an agreement, but this event will have to be a bit different from our events past. Here are all the changes and the reasons behind them, but even with these, we’re going to rock it and have a great night of gaming with you!

No VIP Option

There will be no VIP option this time, instead we are significantly upgrading the General Admission buffet menu as a whole. If you’re a steak-lover, you’re going to be quite pleased! Of course, veggie lovers will also be happy campers. Just come ready to eat, is what we’re saying! 😊

Raffle Put on Hold (for now)

Due to lingering supply chain and pandemic-related issues, there will be no raffle at this event. Many sponsors expressed, with great regret, that they could not commit to the cause at the same level as they may have in the past. At our PAX 2021 event last year, our first event post-Covid, we were still able to have a strong showing of raffle prizes because most were donations rolled over from the original Spring 2020 event that had been postponed. We do not have that cushion this time. This also means that we will likely not have any SWAG bags this year. We hope to bring both of these back at future events, when the economic climate improves. Any donations we have received so far will once again go into storage for a future event.

Dinner Tickets

Tickets will be going live today (08/19/22) at 3PM PST! Tickets have increased to reflect the Tower’s new prices but we are also happy that we can offer you a fully upgraded dinner menu of some incredible food. As mentioned, steak will be the main entrée (with vegetarian options available) and there are other delectable menu items to be announced. (Purchase Tickets Now)

Pop-Up Store Pending

At this time, we’re still working out if we will have pop-up store present at the event. We hope to have more information on this soon.

Post-pandemic recovery pains are a struggle for all right now, but even with these changes, it’ll be a fantastic night of gaming and we are looking forward to it. One thing that hasn’t changed is our desire to put on a great event and raise funds for the Seattle Children’s Hospital as best we can! Thank you for your continued support!

We hope you’ll join us for gaming, gabbing, goofing around, and best of all, giving to a good cause.

Your Ticket is Loading... Please Hold by Norma Gallien

At this moment we are still awaiting some confirmation details from the Columbia Tower that might affect our ticket pricing, so many thanks for your patience as we continue to negotiate with them. We know we are unexpectedly later than unusual with this one, but with the pandemic raising the costs of many goods and services, affecting the Columbia Tower and even our sponsors, we want to be sure that we can bring you a great evening at a fair price and still maximize what we can raise for the Seattle Children’s Hospital.

Once tickets are live and we have any more updates, we shall announce it here and on our socials. Thank you again for your patience!

Luxurious Celebrations: Save the Date and Save the Kickstarter! by Norma Gallien

In this episode of FTW Events news we've got a couple of grand announcements to make! The first is that we've got our official date of our next Top of the World event! On September 2nd, 2022, be ready to party on the swanky 76th floor and celebrate our love of games, all to support families at the Seattle Children's Hospital. Please save the date!

Now let's turn our attention to another luxurious celebration! VIPs from our previous event in September 2021 might remember that they were treated to an exclusive first look at Tsuro: Luxury Limited Edition, from our friends at Calliope Games. This super secret first look was just another one of the exclusive privileges that the VIP experience can bring, and had our VIP guests paving their paths in luxury and gold. We and Calliope Games are excited to announce that Tsuro: Luxury Limited Edition is available to order now on Kickstarter!

Tsuro: Luxury Limited Edition celebrates nearly two decades of this classic game with the creation of an heirloom for the centuries. Tsuro, The game of the Path has long been favored for its high level of player interaction, clever decisions, and fun, elegant gameplay. Now the experience is presented in its most beautiful form yet, eight years in the making!

The game comes beautifully crafted in a wooden game box with vintage finishes, with each side featuring carvings depicting stunning scenes inspired by Tsuro's past. Each piece will be individually numbered with a brass plate to commemorate your very own piece of board game history!

The rules sheet is brilliantly emblazoned across a bamboo scroll. Stone textured tiles are individually carved with their unique path configuration and come in a lovely embroidered satin bag.

Each unique metal pawn represents a memorable piece of Tsuro's mythologial history, from the fierce dragon to the awe-inspiring phoenix. Finally, the iconic dragon tile has been replaced with a shining gold statuette—a true centerpiece for your collection for years to come.

Our Hopes for Events in 2022 by Norma Gallien

Happy 2022!

With the still unsteady landscape of the pandemic, planning consistent events as we have in the past is still a bit tricky. Our main events usually happen concurrently with our big local conventions: Emerald City Comic Con and PAX West. It has been a “wait and see” approach as we anticipate updates from these organizations. As of this writing, both have scheduled dates for September 2022. We are exploring our options to somehow still bring you a Spring or early Summer event, perhaps a smaller one in some form, so stay tuned for any info on that. For now, our next large and main event in the style that you know and love will be in September 2022.

For those looking to get an idea of what our epic main events entail, please enjoy the details below from our successfully completed September, 2021 Night of Gaming for Good!

Thank you, stay safe and healthy!

An Epic Return For The Win ~ PAX 2021 by Norma Gallien

The gorgeous sunset as seen from our Night of Gaming for Good, PAX 2021 event, on Sep. 3, 2021, where 150 gamers came to play and game for good!

The sun has set on our Night of Gaming for Good PAX 2021 Edition -- an event that had been postponed three times since March 2020. It's been a challenging year and a half, to put it lightly. We hope that tonight was an enjoyable reprieve; a moment, even if brief, to be carefree, have fun, and play games with everyone again. We have certainly missed it. A sincere thank you for your patience as we navigated putting on an event during an ongoing health crisis, as well as your willingness to come out in support despite it all.

Even with a scaled down event as this one had to be, we know that we did some great gaming for good tonight, raising money for the Uncompensated Care Fund at Seattle Children's.

More photos and roundups to come soon, but for now, sleep. A very big thank you to all who made it possible.
